Duo Forthcoming for Off-Campus Canvas Use

On May 9, 2023, applications at Emory that use the Shibboleth single sign-on login system will be required to use the Duo Multi-Factor Authentication tool for off-campus access. This includes Canvas, Poll Everywhere, Namecoach, and LinkedIn Learning. Users will not get prompted for Duo if they are on Emory networks.

Why This Change Is Needed

This change will be implemented by OIT Security. This enhanced security at login will further protect these critical systems and the data contained within them.

What You Need to Know

The Duo Authentication tool will work the same way for the above-mentioned applications as it does for all of the applications that already use the Duo authentication tool.
